Too-full Tuesday

Hey everyone!

I just got back from an amazing place! A place of all-you-can-eat food, all-you-can-drink sody-pop, all-you-can-eat DESSERT! That place is called Golden Corral. It's a buffet (pronounced buh-fay). I went there with all of my friends from work. We were all invited to eat by the big bosses. They wanted all of the construction workers to get together for a big dinner party. We all ate so much that they had to close the restaurant early tonight! Yeeeehaw!

We HAVE to go to Golden Corral. There is something for everyone (mmmmmm... mashed potatoes, Mama) and a dessert for every sweet tooth! Thursday is Thanksgiving, and Aunt Jill would be mad at us if we went to Golden Corral instead of her house. Maybe we can go on Friday? Ice cream. Pudding. Cake. Pizza. Steak. And MORE!

Tomorrow is Wednesday. I am coming home to be with y'all for the whole rest of the week and the whole weekend. I can't wait to see you. It's been too darned long since we've been together. Don't you think? What shall we do as a family (besides Golden Corral)? Any ideas? Anyone? Bueller? (wink)

I'm up for almost anything. I'll welcome your ideas.

Love and smoochies,
Pappy

Monkey Monday!

Ooooh Ooooh Oooooh Aaaaaaah! (that's monkey for "Hallo Family!) -

How are you all? I am so very ready to come back home. Is the power on? Off? On? Good! Would you like to see a great monkey? Okay, here:

Okay, maybe not a great monkey... it's a great ape. Looks a lot like my old roommate, Roger.

Anyway, how about another great monkee pic? Here:

Hey, Hey! It's the Monkees!

How about this monkey:

And the moral of today's blog is this: monkeys bite noses. Do NOT bring monkeys home from the jungle.

Good night and God bless!

Love,

Paps

Sunday Evening

Hallo!

It is a wonderful cold evening here in Vernal. I am grateful for the roof over my head, and the covers on my bed!

I am writing this after I spoke to you about the West Valley Blackout! I hope you all made it to
Tooele alright.

It is bedtime for me, so I won't be writing much tonight. I love you all so very much. You are the apples of my pie.

Love and smoochies,
Pappy O'Pash

Seriously Saturday!

What the heck am I doing in Vernal on Saturday?

Aren't we all spose ta be hangin' out at our house, poppin corn and watchin a show? I'm stuck out in dino land with a bunch of smelly construction workers. My roommate, Brian, is especially smelly. Thank goodness he is taking a shower. That might help. We'll see...

Anyway, I just talked with Mama and told her that I went to mass at St. James in Vernal. I prayed for my family and missed you all throughout the mass. Can't wait to get home and hold you all! (one or two at a time... I don't think I could hold five people at the same time!)

Here are some VERY strange one-liner jokes by a guy named Steven Wright. He is HI-larious, but not always to youngsters. Let me know if you think he's funny:

How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

What's another word for Thesaurus?

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

The hardness of the butter is proportional to the softness of the bread.

The severity of the itch is proportional to the reach.

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.

Hope you smiled, smirked, laughed, or spit out your apple juice.

I love you all more than coffee cake,
Pappy

What color is a burp?

Burple!

------
Why didn't anyone want to sleep with Daddy Dinosaur?
Because he was a Bronto-snore-us!
------
What is the best thing to put in a pie?
A fork!
-----
What's invisible and smells like bananas?
Monkey burps!
-----
Ha ha ha ha ha! I love those jokes! I hope you laughed, or smiled, or giggled at them.
It's gonna be a long weekend, let me tell you. I will be missing you all so very much. BUT! Next weekend will be wonderful! Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Jill's, movies, popcorn, and other fun times! You kids are my precious gems; my sweets; me hearties; my loves.
God bless you and keep you.

Three Joke Thursday

Hi -

Here they are.

A lion woke up one morning feeling really rowdy and mean. He went out and cornered a small monkey and roared,"Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?"

The trembling monkey says, "You are, mighty lion!

Later, the lion confronts a ox and fiercely bellows,"Who is the mightiest of all jungle animals?"The terrified ox stammers, "Oh great lion, you are the mightiest animal in the jungle!"

On a roll now, the lion swaggers up to an elephant and roars,"Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?"Fast as lightning, the elephant snatches up the lion with his trunk, slams him against a tree half a dozen times leaving the lion feeling like it'd been run over by a safari wagon. The elephant then stomps on the lion till it looks like a corn tortilla and ambles away.

The lion lets out a moan of pain, lifts his head weakly and hollers after the elephant -"Just because you don't know the answer, you don't have to get so upset about it!"

---------

There where two snakes talking.

The 1st one said 'Sidney, are we the type of snakes who wrap ourselves around our prey and squeeze and crush until they're dead? Or are we the type of snake who ambush our prey and bite them and they are poisioned?'

Then the second Snake says "Why do you ask?"

The 1st one replies: "I just bit my lip!"

--------
What did the whale say to the dolphin when he pushed him??? I didn't do it on porpoise!!!
-------
There you have 'em! I hope you all liked them. It's nice to have a laugh in the morning (or evening), don't you think?
It has been a busy week for us out here in dinosaur land. I can't believe that its almost the end of the week! Time for the weekend! Yippie! Saturday morning cartoons! Sleeping in! After-mass donuts! Yeeeha!
I hope you all have a happy and smiley and fun-filled day. You are all in my prayers and in my dreams. I love you so.
Papa

Hi Ho!

I hope you are all happy and flappy! I'm not sure what being "flappy" is, exactly, but it sounds fun and it rhymes with happy. So, there. What do you think "flappy" might mean? Owen? Livie? Gracie? Mami? ... Mary?

Anyways...

I thought I'd tell you people another joke tonight (or this morning, depending on your perspective), but NOT a knock knock (your welcome, Gracie). Here goes:

A man trying to understand the nature of God asked him, "God, how long is a million years to you?"

God answered," A million years is like a minute."

Then the man asked, "God, how much is a million dollars to you?" And God replied, "A million dollars is like a penny."

Finally the man asked, "God, could you give me a penny?" And God said, "In a minute."

I love Yews, and "U"s, and all of yous,
Papash

Thirsty Thursday

Hey Everyone!

It's Thursday, and I'm soooooo thirsty. Time for a cool glass of water... Ahhhh. Delicious. Refreshing.

Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller? (Just kidding).
Today the wind blew so hard! I was spraying a firehose to wet down some dirt, and the wind blew so hard that the water sprayed back all over me! I was soaked from head to toe! I looked and felt like a cranky wet cat! Not very fun.

Meanwhile, here's a joke (as told by Fr. Rob):

A turtle is walking down the street and along come two slugs. The slugs mug the turtle and steal his lunch money. Shortly, the police arrived and asked the turtle what happened. He said, "I'm not sure. It all happened so fast!"

Love to you all,
Pop

Wed Nez Day

Dude and Dames (oops, ladies first)
Dames and Dude -

Hope yer all doin so gud. I'm, like, rully excited to be over the hump. Tomorrow is Thursday, which means the next day is Fridee. If all goes well, the next day is Saturnday. And so on...

Mama said that Gracie was askeeird of Matthew Broderick (shower Ferris). Wassup with that, Grace? Afraid he's gonna use all the hot water and you'll have to take a 43 minute COLD shower? Or what? You guys wanna see a scary shower pic? Here:

So. There.

Anyway, I have been getting the feeling that the music room is not being used as a MUSIC ROOM! If the crib is still is the room, please give it to the nearest baby (not Mary, she's not a baby, she's a toddler) and get down there and ROCK! Bring the noise, bring the funk. After homework, of course.

I think this music room looks nice, but it is missing the Rockin' Pashtones.

I'm rully reddy to rock, but I've gotta go to sleep.

Love and Music,

Papa

Two's Day

Hi People.

Glad to know that you are all excited about the Dino museum. Mama reminded me that it is closed on Sundays. Soooo... we'd have to do something other than the Dino museum if we are all out here this weekend.

Anyway... I'm looking into other options. Flaming Gorge is supposed to be spectacular. Mama? Any input? Anyone? Bueller?

Bedtime. Love to you all.

Smmoooochie,
Pappy

Happy Monday!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

It was hard to leave the house this morning... Mama, Merry, and Owen were asleep in our room, Gracie was sawin' logs in Molly's room, and Livie was up in her room doing math problems; I just wanted to stay there with you all! Oh, well. Gotta make that rent.

It is possible, however not certain, that I will have to work this coming Saturday. If so, perhaps you all could pile into the minivan and come out to Vernal. We could stay in a nice hotel and go to the Dinosaur Museum! HOWEVER... if I don't have to work this Saturday, I will be coming home, and we'll just have to have tons of fun at our house! Either way, we're in for a great weekend. (you're welcome, Mama).

It's bathtime! Everyone in the tub!

Love,
Pappy

Is Anybody Out There?

I'm just wondering if anyone has read this blog since Tuesday... I don't think you have!

Prove me wrong.

A Town Called Dinosaur

Did you know that there is a town in Colorado called Dinosaur? Well, now you do. I went there tonight; it is thirty minutes from Vernal, and I thought it would be a nice drive. It was a nice drive. However, I did not see ONE dinosaur while I was there. It should have been named "Gas Station". I saw three of those. Oh, well...

I am sorry to report that no one correctly guessed Grandpa's family gift. Here's another clue:

It has no legs, but it can run.

Post your guesses in the "comments". I'll look for them tomorrow. Good night!

Love,
Da'

Grandpa Pash is Coming to Town!

Hey!

I spoke with Nana last night, and she told me that Grandpa is coming to our house on Saturday. Isn't that great? He'll have dinner with us on Saturday night. What shall we have? Maybe we should bar-b-que some hamburgers, grill some mushrooms, roast some garlic, juice some apples, pop some corn, and ice some cream! Doesn't that sound like a great meal?

He's also delivering a gift for our whole family. It is from Grandpa AND Nana. I'm not telling what it is, but I'll give you a hint. You may leave your guess in the "comment" section of this posting.

Here's the hint: It purrs.

God bless you all.

Love,
Da'

Full Moon Fever!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all happy and healthy today. Did you all see the full moon tonight? Soooo neat!

Did you know that we get to see a full moon every 28 days? That's how long it takes for the moon to travel around the Earth. So, at least once a month we get to see a big round silver (and sometimes golden) disk in the sky.

Did you know that the ocean tides of the world are influenced by the moon? It's true! The moon is big enough and close enough to our planet that its gravitational pull actually affects the oceans! Lakes and rivers are not affected by the moon; they're too small.

Look at the picture above... can you see the "man" in the moon? I'm not sure if I can... how about in THIS picture

I think I can see it better in this one.

Anyway, I had better say ni night. Time for Dads to sleeeeeeeeeep!

God bless you all.

Love,

Papa
